Below are some examples of the ways we’ve helped others and how we can help you too. Sometimes our security experts need to get creative in order to provide our customers with what they need. One more thing that sets us apart from the other Houston area security companies.
Chris Coughran is the owner of a large piece of land in La Porte, Texas. On his property sits his home with a barn in the far back, an arena for his horses, and feeding area for the rest of his animals. With a property like his it can be a challenge to get security cameras where you need them without it getting too expensive.
Chris needed security cameras placed strategically around the property without interrupting the daily movement of his animals. Adding cables and burying conduit between his house where the DVR will be located and the barn where some of the cameras needed to be was going to be expensive. Not to mention that in between the house and the barn was the horse’s arena and a small gravel road. With a budget set in place for this job we needed to find a solution at the best price.
Considering the logistical and budgetary constraints of the project, it seemed like a wireless security system would be best option. A wireless AP (Access Point) module, such as the SS-UBM2, is a pair of devices that can network two points together without a physical cable. They are similar to Wi-Fi, but more powerful and designed to link wired network devices. They can carry the video feed of IP cameras without interruption and a clear image. A wireless AP and an IP security camera will provide excellent picture quality. They are also a fraction of the cost and time of installing a wired security system. This seemed like a perfect answer for our problem on the Coughran Ranch. The first point of the wireless bridge was installed at the peak of the house and the second on the top of the front part of the barn. An ethernet was then run from there to a switch which went to 2 security cameras located on the barn.
The SS-UBM2 wireless AP worked great! Sending the signal through the air worked without issue. The end result was a crystal clear image in any weather without the expensive cost of road boring and conduit placement.
Barrett's A/C & Heating
Brian Stringer is the proud owner of Barrett’s A/C and Heating Company. It was passed down to him from his father who started the business many years ago. It is Brian’s number one priority to keep his business safe and make sure he is continuing on the path to success like his father.
Brian has noticed some small, highly valuable parts missing from his inventory room, indicating a need for increased security. He needs to be able to see this location at all times no matter where he is. He wants to be able to monitor that locations without anyone knowing he has eyes on his inventory.
We suggested Brian install a hidden camera at this location so that no one would suspect he was watching. So we installed a covert security camera with a lens no larger than the size of a quarter and BOOM. We have live video feed. But WAIT, he wants to see this location anywhere he is at any time, so we also set up port forwarding on his network and remote access to his Android mobile device. We have a mobile app, NVMS7000, which works great over different mobile devices such as IPad, IPhone, and Android.
NVMS7000 worked great with his mobile device and the hidden camera was placed in an unsuspected area. The end result was a crystal clear image viewable from anywhere in the world where he had internet access.
Texas Rotating Equipment
John Whitworth and John Connelly are proud owners of Texas Rotating Equipment in Dayton, Texas. Providing turbans for refineries around the country. It is crucial to make sure that every piece of equipment in their facility is kept safe and protected from unwanted thieves.
John & John needed security cameras in place to help protect their new facility that was just built and the other buildings onsite as well. The issue was that there were four different buildings on the property and they only wanted one security system. With the cost of trenching, placing conduit and lengthy cable runs it was going to be a challenge. We needed to find the most cost effective and best solution quick.
